J. Michael Lunsford Middle School, Located in the heart of Loundon County, Virgina and the Flagship of the Loundon County public school system that was completed for the 2011-2012 school year. The Facility consisted of a central plant which housed chillers, boilers, pumps, cooling towers, domestic heaters and storage tanks. The building was fed via a four-pipe hydronic distribution system. The interior spaces were conditioned through ERU’s, Rooftop AHU’s and VAV Duct systems. This Facility also includes several domestic solar systems and the entire complex’s energy consumption is monitored and displayed on a user-freindly LCD screen which the students and faculty use for educational learning.
